Last Sunday I met up with the one and only Melissa of CupcakesOMG for a photo shoot. Our session ended up running a bit longer than most because we had a blast chatting away about everything from work and career goals, to blogging and photo tips. I’m fairly sure we could have talked all day if we let ourselves.
I met Melissa while working at CEB where we both perfected the art of stalking corporate executives and cold calling. One day, I heard a rumor that there was a daily email that Melissa sent out called “Daily Cupcake”. You better believe I made sure I was on that list and I always sang her praises when she brought cupcakes to the office. She even inspired to make these bad boys for Thanksgiving one year. For the record, they were amazeballs.
After Melissa realized that she had more to offer than simply dominating the world of cupcakes, she broadened her horizons to fashion, food, and pretty much anything else she feels like blogging about. She’s a self proclaimed narcissist with a very unique writing style that keeps me entertained even though not many would consider me the fashionista type.
I’m happy that our paths crossed again and I have a feeling there will be some exciting partnerships in the future between our two blogs… stay tuned!
